Obvious Coming Next!
On February 23rd 2004 Westlife will release their next single 'Obvious', the third song to be taken from Turnaround. Definitely one of the album's standout tracks, Obvious has an instantly memorable chorus, the band's vocal performance is superb and reminds the listener just how Westlife have got this far. It's is a simple love song beautifully executed by Westlife doing what they do best.
'Turnaround', Westlife's fifth album went straight into the number one spot in its first week of release and has shipped a million copies in the UK alone. Packed with epic style anthems, chunky guitars, sing-a-long choruses, beautiful melodies and the trademark leg trembling Westlife vocals, the album also features the massive hit singles 'Hey Whatever' and 'Mandy'.
Westlife's success to date is incredible. They are the only recording artists in the history of the awards to win the prestigious Record of the Year three times. They have performed to over a million fans on three sell-out arena tours to become the biggest selling arena tour act ever. They have sold over 32 million records globally; had five multi-platinum albums in the UK alone; scored a record breaking 12 UK number ones, picked up two BRIT Awards and an MTV Europe Award.
Standing stronger than ever Bryan, Kian, Mark, Nicky and Shane will commence their biggest world tour yet with their massive arena shows confirmed as far as Cape Town, Beirut, Tokyo and back home across Europe. All before they head back into the recording studio in the summer when they'll start creating their sixth album. It looks Obvious from here, 2004 is going to be yet another hectic year for this record-breaking act!
