   Today is good because... I'm having a lazy night!

   Music...Busted - Can't Get Thru

Here I am! In the USA! I'm sorry I haven't written but things are really busy here and when I'm online I'm mainly replying to mails from mum & dad, so I'm sorry to those of you who I haven't replied to yet - I hope to reply more this week, if I don't this evening.

Am getting used to things here - everything is bigger here, and cheaper - and it's warm! Which is a bizarre concept for me...it cools down in the evening but it's not really cold - I know that eventually I'll find it cold, but I hope not. I hope my Scottish blood keeps me warm :)

The job itself is pretty amazing! I love meeting people, and I'm getting used to working in the till and working with my costume - I'll post up a photo once I get my photo editing software installed. I love meeting the kids - that bit is amazing! Tonight I met a family who were from Kilmarnock, literally just down the road from where I live, and they were so shocked at how close to them I lived! lol

My roomates are all pretty nice too - my actual roomate is from Norway, and she's lovely. I also share with an Italian, a South African, a French girl, who just arrived, and a Japanese girl - but she leaves this week. And I'm also getting a car - my Japanese roomate is selling her car so I'm going to buy it off her, which will be fantastic, but also scary driving over here! lol

Anyway, that's pretty much what's been happening. I tend to go to the theme parks on my days off, or to the mall, i don't like hanging around not doing anything - have been to MGM twice, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot, and I've also managed a couple of times to Universal Studios which is great - I bought an annual pass for there, and we get into the Disney parks free, anyway.

So, I'm enjoying myself for the time being. I miss everyone at home, and miss a bit of a routine (my hours tend to be 3.30pm - 9.30pm and I hate the fact I can't have any regular meals! I miss baked potatoes!), but I am enjoying myself!

I'll try and write a wee bit more - but you all take care :)

And so, I leave the country tomorrow and head off to the States! I'm so nervous but this is something I have to do and there's no turning back now... Have had the greatest past couple of days, saying goodbye to people is so hard, but i know I'm going to see everyone in a year's time - and I can keep up with them on this, so it's totally fine!

I've packed and am in the process of copying CDs to take away with me - can't go without any music! LOL

Am so hectic it's unbelievable!!!

Am going to write more and try and change layout tomorrow, or over the weekend, but just popped on to let everyone know that I'm definitely off on Tuesday!

Am heading to live and work in Orlando, Florida for a year starting 21st September, in Walt Disney World (if I hadn't told you, or you have forgotten). I'm heading on the 6.30am flight to London, then changing to the Washington flight at 11.30am. Then, from Washington to Orlando, arriving in Orlando at 7.55pm!!!

Will let you know more what I've been up to, and add up photos from Belfast & Barcelona too!

I'm back! *waves* Yup, finally feel in the mood to update this thing... I just haven't really felt like coming on here - plus I have been extra busy!

So, how are you all? I hope that you're well! I'm hoping that today I can get round to visiting all my dailies - I've not been to see you all for ages, so apologies for that...If I don't do it now, I'll deffo do it this evening :).

Well, I have my Visa! Yup - I was away in London at the start of the week for 3 days, having my Visa interview at the American Embassy. Actually, the band Keane were also there getting a Visa (their lead singer, Tom, likes Salt & Vinegar crisps FYI). Anyway, the day wasn't as long as I thought it would be - luckily - and I managed to also get some shopping done. Mum and I also saw the show 'We Will Rock You' which is amazing! If you get the chance, you really should see it...a pretty amazing show, I thought - great music! Oh, we also saw the Cheeky Girls in Niketown buying trainers! lol

So, Wednesday night I had my 'leaving' dinner with the people from work. Had a really nice evening - starting to hit home now that I'm going to be leaving everyone behind... I'm not as scared as I thought I would be - if I'm being honest, I'm more scared of people forgetting about me, and when I come back they've all moved on so much that there's no room for me, you know? Just, well, there are certain people that always 'promised' me they'd 'keep in touch' and stuff, and I hardly hear from these people now and it's sad...I don't want that to happen 'cause I have so many good friends, y'know?

Well I guess there's no turning back now, so I've just gotta get used to the fact that I'm going to America! I'm waiting for my flight details, from Disney. Of course, there are the hurricanes happening out there at the moment, so I wouldn't be surprised if I don't hear from them for a bit longer than usual...

So not much else to report! I've got a few busy weeks coming up as I'm desperately trying to meet up with as many people as possible - going to be difficult, but I'm determined to see everyone that I can! It's my last day at work tomorrow, too, so I expect that there'll be some tears...

Oh, and update - Anne's niece is called Louise, and both mother & baby are doing fine :)
